**BOISE, Idaho, Oct. 21, 2026 --** Alvro LLC, a Boise company founded on August 2, 2022, today announced Alvro, a peer-to-peer car-sharing marketplace launching in Idaho and Oregon. Alvro will connect people who need a car with local hosts who share cars they own; Alvro doesn't own vehicles. The marketplace isn't open for bookings yet; Alvro expects to launch in early 2027. Renters and car owners can join the waitlist now at [https://alvro.com/waitlist](https://alvro.com/waitlist).

Co-founder and CEO Alexander K., who has spent 11 years in car rental and automotive, founded Alvro to fix what the traditional rental counter gets wrong.

## How Alvro will work for guests

Once Alvro opens, guests will be able to book a local host's own car by the hour, day, week or month. Some hosts will offer delivery to an airport, hotel or address.

## How Alvro will work for hosts

Local car owners will be able to list the cars they own. Hosts will keep up to 90% of every trip. Under Alvro's published [fee schedule](https://alvro.com/legal/fees), the host's share will depend on the host protection tier the car is listed under: 90% (Basic), 85% (Standard) or 75% (Premium). Alvro will keep the rest as its commission. Host tools previewed on alvro.com will include smart pricing, a per-car maintenance log, co-host permissions and an earnings dashboard, which will open at launch.

## Trust, safety and protection

Alvro pulls motor vehicle records (MVRs) under admin review. Staff decide when a record is pulled. Protection plans will be provided through licensed third-party insurers. Plan details are in Alvro's Insurance & Protection Plans policy at [https://alvro.com/trust-safety](https://alvro.com/trust-safety).

"Too many great cars sit idle while travelers settle for whatever's left on the lot. We built Alvro to fix both sides of that. Guests will get more choice and better prices, and they'll know the exact car they're driving before they book. Owners will get a simple way to share the cars they love and earn extra income right where they live. Whether someone's traveling for work, for fun or because of an emergency, we want Alvro to make finding the right car easy."
