Damage-Claim Payment Plans
Last updated: July 19, 2026
When a damage-claim balance is larger than you can pay at once, Alvro may let you pay it over time. This policy explains the terms of those plans, and what happens if a payment is missed.
01Summary
If you owe a larger damage-claim balance, Alvro may let you pay it over time in installments instead of all at once. A payment plan carries no setup fee and no interest, and runs for up to 12 months. This policy explains how a plan works, what keeps it in good standing, and what happens if a payment is missed.
02How a payment plan works
When a damage claim is resolved and you owe a balance that qualifies, you may be offered a payment plan:
- The first installment is due when the plan starts.
- The remaining installments are automatically charged to your payment method on the scheduled dates.
- There is no plan fee ($0) and no interest (0%) — you pay only the amount you owe, split into scheduled payments over up to 12 months.
- Payment plans run on standard credit or debit cards only. Prepaid cards and other instruments aren't eligible.
03Good standing
While your plan is current — every scheduled installment paid on time — your account stays in good standing, and you can continue to book and take trips as normal.
04Missed installments
If a scheduled installment can't be collected and isn't cured, the plan defaults:
- The full remaining balance becomes immediately due.
- Standard account restrictions apply while a balance is unpaid — you may be unable to book, start, or extend trips until it's resolved.
- An unpaid balance may be referred to a third-party collections agency.
05Paying does not waive your dispute rights
Starting or making payments on a plan does not mean you accept the claim amount or waive your right to dispute it. You can still dispute a charge under our Refunds & Disputes policy; if a dispute is resolved in your favor, we adjust the plan and refund any overpayment.
